 Like a badly dressed zombie rising from the grave  have returned 

After a very disruptive few years I have realised that my output has been as flat as an ER patients heartbeat in a soap opera. That coupled with the fact that I have realised if I don't get back into the saddle and do some work then there's no point continuing the hobby. My old gaming group has long since scattered to the four winds. I haven't played 40K since 7th edition and have sold most of my armies and figures. 

What to do?

I have some hope of one grandchild having a slight interest in Bloodbowl so I shall paint up a few teams from the box of shame this year as a basic goal.  However Santa brought me a festive Red Gobbo figure .... when I looked up how much he cost I nearly had a heart attack... one figure... how much!!! This will be the first one to do.. if only to see which paints haven't dried up. I also threw myself into the  Paint What You've Got 2024 Challenge 

Lets see where this year leads!!!

2022 Goals

 Well to recap on last year's hobby goals none met, in fact, no figures were painted at all. Very disappointing.

On a better none, 2 stone lost and one Master's degree achieved.

A poor end to the year with the 85-year-old ancient father admitted to hospital with a water infection and there he caught covid.. twice! Got him out of the hospital, very weak and ill-looking. The hospitals seem to suffer from Dr's constantly overriding the approach of the previous Doctors and nursing staff not identifying that a patient too weak to feed himself is not just not hungry but unable to eat. No eating for over a weak is starving to death not lacking in appetite.

Anyway, back with us now and improving every day.

Dissertation completed

 After being awake for 26 hours my dissertation was completed at 06:02 this morning. I'm free !!!!!!!!

Well Ernest they aren't getting another one!!!

2021 Goal Setting

Goals for the hobby which has been inspired by the Dead lead Project Blog, only much shorter.

·         Finish an old figure. I’m spoilt for choice on this.

·         Finish a skirmish force for a project. At least a gang sized one.

·         Repaint an old miniature.

·         Average one figure a week, so 52 miniatures in total.

·         End the year in the positive painted versus purchased.

 

Personal Goals

·         Lose weight to help control my rampant high blood pressure and borderline Diabetes.

·         Finish my master’s degree. This is a last chance after deferring for several years. I only need a 40.
